Christmas is for giving me stuff...

at least it is if you're a Third Party Vendor.

So, I read Condon's Blog today and it inspired me to let everyone know what I have received in this short week.

It all started on Tuesday.

The FedEx guy came a little late, around 10:30am. I was waiting for an important underwriting package, so I decided to camp out at the receptionists desk until the guy delivered. When he finally did arrive, he had both of my paperwork envelopes and a bunch of boxes. Nothing seemed unusual...

I go back to my desk, sort the paperwork and prepare it for more people to sign it.

The receptionist comes to my desk with a box.

SWEET!

Its from the "Dancing Deer Baking Company"

ok...

Inside is a marvelous box...Neiman Marcus cookies!
Fresh.
4 kinds. (Peppermint Chocolate Chocolate, Mountain Crunch, Cherry Walnut, Vanilla Almond)
Mmmm Cookies.

Whoever sent me that get some more business next year.

5 minutes later. Another Box.

This one is from a law firm we work with. It has a mug. And a box of 30 Truffles.

I finish some more of my stuff and decide now would be a good time to photocopy all of it.

I pass the receptionist. She has another box for me.

I go photocopy and pick up the other box on the way back. OH MY GOD. Its f-ing heavy.

14 pounds of Hershey's Miniatures!!! In quite a lovely holiday tin.

Yeah, you read it correctly. 14 pounds. To give you an idea of how much that actually is, thats about 34 heaping handfuls.

All packages that came that day were for me. I like it when companies kiss up.

So, yesterday was less exciting...only one package.

Chocolate covered potato chips from Neiman Marcus. 3 sleeves. 3 kinds of chocolate.

wow.

I have to ask though...does anyone send fruit anymore? Come on...thats like the most amount of chocolate I have seen in my entire life.

So thats about all from here...I probably won't post until after the New Year. I only work 1.5 days next week. HOORAY!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Everyone!!!

I'm going to Happy Hour now!

Curse you ACME!!!!

Let's all refer back to my wonderful post from November 30th. If we recall, it says, in the 2nd paragraph, "I have found a new and exciting service (which I am sure many have heard of before, but perhaps have not used). ACME delivers to my door. For $10. If you refer back to the October 26th Entry you will understand why I will employ this tool for my future grocery shopping needs."

wow. worst idea ever.

So, Tuesday night I placed my online order for 50 items to be deliveed to my door between 8 and 9:30 on Wednesday night (there is a 5% discount for wednesday deliveries). So, I'm sitting at home, watching tv, just chilling out. Its 8. Then its 9. Then its 10?!?!?! Where the f are my groceries??? So, I call the 877 # and I think I get someone in Minnesota and she calls dispatch and actually finds out where my food is. Apparently the delivery guy "got lost" and didn't deliver (he had my # on the delivery receipt, he could have called and asked where I live). At that point (10:20) she says he can be at my apartment in about 1 and a half hours. 11:50??? Yes, weird delivery guy...come to my apartment and bring me food. Almost sounds like a porn scenario. So, I declined. She asked me when he can deliver in the AM. I say 7. She says no. so we finally decide on 5:30pm.

It is now thursday. Glorious thursday. He's lucky survivor is over.

I rush home from work and get there at 5:27. And sit on my couch. WOW...its 7:30.
So, I call the 877# again. Get a guy who calls dispatch again. Apparently the truck broke down. They had to get a new truck and switch all the groceries and they would be to me within an hour. So, I figure I'll give them till 9.

Well, its 9. I'm on the phone with my father. Talking about Life Insurance. I finally get off the phone and call the 877#. I'm like, Hi. I've been waiting for 2 days. I just want to cancel my order. So, it gets cancelled. After I am put on hold again while she calls dispatch.

Yes, I know, I should have been more forceful and angry and demanded something for making me sit there for 2 nights, but I didn't feel like it. I am still waiting for the charge to be removed from my credit card.

I have one thing to say...

Screw you guys, I'm going to Genuardi's.

Its Almost Christmas!!!

Its a wonderful time of the year.

I am going to be the happiest person in the world on December 23rd : )

I just spent about an hour downloading statements from one account. Statements from 1999. I feel like we don't need to reference them anymore. Clearly, I am mistaken.

Someone gave me a chocolate bar today, so I am a little bouncing off the walls. Ya know, in the "I have a severe head cold" kind of way. Its very weird.

I have a picture of Ender up in my cube. He's barking at the camera (he looks a little scary). Its here to keep evil people away. It doesn't seem to be working so far. Several people have come to my desk today.

We saw Blade Trinity last night. It was vampire-tastic.
Finding Neverland rocked. It was Johnny Depp-licious. And soooooooo GOOD!

11 Days until Christmas. I know I am "old" now but my parents still ask for a christmas list...every year but this year. That actually kind of scares me, primarily because they asked my brother, who is 30, for a list. Maybe they will just give me a bazillion dollars. Or a purple mini convertible. More than likely, I will get a sweater or 12.

My christmas tree is all pretty and ornamented. I have all the presents wrapped. I went a little crazy this year. Everyone has their own wrapping paper. While it eliminates the need for tags, it increases the amount of paper I need to buy. Oh well. Its pretty.

What is with fortune cookie fortunes lately??? They suck. The last 3 that I have gotten have said pretty much the same thing: You will travel for business and/or pleasure. I didn't need a cookie to tell me I'm gonna be hopping around the country for the next 6 months. Mmmm cookie.

So I took a random mid-week trip to VA last week. I like being spontaneous. I don't like studying for the ChFC. Good thing I don't have an exam until like March.

There is one thing that I like to do that I almost never do on work days. Late Lunch. If you take a 2pm lunch, you get back at 3 and then you get to leave in 2 hours. That is pretty kick ass. That is if you can make it to 2pm without killing anyone.

Oooooo Random Poll time:

If I were to go on Survivor, how quickly do you think I would be voted out?

I don't think I would be the first to go...but who knows...

And my final thought for the day...

No more fuzzy camel colored sweaters. They are turning all of my black dresses hairy and camel colored.

Mmmm Shoppy Shoppy

Black friday was a fun time yet again this year. YAY shoppie and Don Pablo's. The mall was way crowded outside, but the lines inside were surprisingly not bad. People in the stores on the other hand, dumb as a rock. The scariest one was the lady behind Lacey in line that put her head pretty much on Lacey's shoulder. It was weird.

Hey...26 more days until Christmas.

I have found a new and exciting service (which I am sure many have heard of before, but perhaps have not used). ACME delivers to my door. For $10. If you refer back to the October 26th Entry you will understand why I will employ this tool for my future grocery shopping needs.

I put up my Christmas tree over the long weekend. Its so cute. and fake. and covered in crazified ornaments. Hooray! Now all I have to do is wrap things and put thm under my tree and find my stocking and hopefully not light it on fire in the fireplace that it will hang on. Good thing the fireplace is controlled with a light switch.

I am the bestest sister ever. Last night, i drove down to Woodbury with my brother to drop off his car at the car place and then drove him to philly. and in about 10 short minutes, I get to pick him up in philly and then drive him back to Woodbury. Good thing I am going to be coming home right around rush hour. Yippee Hooray!

Danielle is coming to visit this weekend. Anyone have any suggestions on bars to go to in center city? anyone want to come with us?

Its time for me to go drive over a bridge now! Buh byes!

And the impossible has happened...

Yes. Lafayette beat Lehigh this past weekend in their 140th Meeting. 24 to 10. 24 to 10!!!

What does that all mean???

1) Lafayette ROCKS! and Lehigh SUCKS!!! (i have shirts that tell me that)

2) Lafayette is now playing Delaware in the NCAA Division 1-AA Playoffs. Yeah, thats never happened before on College Hill.

So I am all about traditions. This game is the longest running, most played college football rivalry. 140 times. Thats a lot of football. Thats a lot of college drinking fun. So, in keeping with tradition, me and Justin went over to the Smith house. Watched the game (yeah, we actually get an ABE station in medford), played some beirut and started drinking WAY before it was dark out. What a fabulous tradition. I'm sure next year will be more of the same if anyone else cares to join us : )

This is a fabulous week. To be more precise, a 2.5 day work week. and 2 of the days are over. I am elated. I am all happy because I get to go home early tomorrow, have yummies on thursday and go shopping on friday! Awww yeah. waking up at the crack of dawn on a friday to go shopping in delaware. It is my favorite holiday tradition. Just the girls, some shopping and Don Pablo's. Glorious.

Well, I get to go home soon and then it is glorious fajita night and then some much needed sleep.

If you haven't seen the Incredibles, its adorable, go see it.

Peace out.

Are you Serious?!?!?

Its been a reasonably uneventful week.

2 days this week, I have rolled into the lovely office at about 6:45am. I know. That sounds like it rocks. Yesterday (aka that day I got to come in at normal time), I stayed until about 5:45.

I hate year end!

This morning, I went down to the break room at about 8:10 to make myself a yummy cup of Mandarin Spice Tea. It is De-lish. I'm stirring in my sweet and low. I get freaking paged. I'm like, "oh crap, the printer probably exploded and I must come to the rescue!" Wouldn't it be cool if I were paged for something useful???

No. I ran back to my desk to staple 3 packets together. I feel like it took more effort to page me then it would have to just stapled the damn packets.

It makes me feel less inclined to do more important things around here.

So we have all these cheeseball motivational posters around the office. I think they are dumb. I'm not motivated. I have never seen anyone walk by one and be like "OHHHHHH now I must go achieve my goals! Good thing I walked past that poster!"

The one nearest to my desk reads: Attitude is the little thing that makes a BIG difference.

And the picture is of a rain drop falling into still water.

PLEASE!!!!

Over the past few weeks, I have been making fun of them on a constant basis. So last night, Justin sends me a link, which I am sure many of you have seen, and I have decided that THIS is going to be the new motivation poster to be displayed near my desk.

Perhaps a few people around here will find it funny.

The others probably won't even notice that the poster has changed.

So I'm gonna go make me some more tea and sit here until its time to go home. Today has been far too long and its only 2:15...

Go Eagles!
Go Lafayette!

The Space that is My Office...

or as I like to call it...My Foam Lined Cell.

In the theme of Rob's blog, I am going to talk about one of my favoritest movies...

Office Space. It has become my life...

SAMIR
Oh no! Not again! Why does it say paper jam when there is no paper
jam?!! I, I swear to God, one of these days, I, I, I just kick this
piece of shit out the window!!!

MICHAEL
you and me both, man. The thing is lucky I'm not armed.

Which brings me to why I am posting today.

My beloved HP LaserJet 4300N. Otherwise known as the 1013. Also otherwise known as Thomas Jefferson. (I have 2 other printers: Zachary Taylor (1022) and Martin Van Buren (1018)...they keep me company). Thomas Jefferson is located in the "Admin" area. So its about 3 cubes away (approx 30 feet). The other 2 printers are located within my cube. (Yes, I have the largest cube in the office, the most printers and the most computers...I am slowly but surely taking over Lincoln...one cube at a time). You might ask, "why would you use the Thomas if you have 2 printers in your cube?" Good question. Martin is a Solid Ink Color Laser. Zachary is a multi-purpose laser. The Thomas is a high speed laser. When I print anything over about 20 pages, its the easiest place to print it. SOOOOOO fast. and in the winter, I use it as a warming device. Paper come off SOOOOOO hot.

You might also ask, "why are the pritners named after presidents?" Yes, another good question. I didn't name them. If I had, they would all be characters from Disney Creations (i.e. Capt Jack Sparrow, Figment, Eeyore, Sulley). Steve, the uber tech guy, named them. He used to work in the VA Beach office and said he liked it when people would call him and tell him that "George Washington was being a squeaky bitch" Nuff said.

Moving along...

We've been having some "issues" with the Thomas. I send something to print. It blinks. Its like a sad little puppy that needs attention. I go over to the printer. It continues to blink. The LED says "paper jam". Now that is all well and good if there were a freaking paper jam. No. No. No paper jam. Every 3rd time you print it says there is a paper jam. Wanna know the solution to said paper jam?

Lift the top lid. Shut the lid. It prints. How does that make ANY sense???

So this little issue has been going on for about 7 months. A guy came in the other day. I'm sending stuff to print. I stand up to go get my printings. The printer is in about 9 pieces on the floor. Hmmmm, need to send to other printer. Well since I was sending a VERY large job (80 pages) it took quite awhile.

Getting to the point. Looks like the random guy who took apart the printer fixed it!!!!

Hooray.

So today, I go to print 2 copies of a 1 page insurance report...

The first page comes out.

"PCX Error:...**9)00. Undefined Range" comes out on the next page.

The second page comes out.

Oh Thomas Jefferson, why do you hate me so???

But I guess fixing that is for another day.

MILTON
And if, if they take my stapler, I will, I will set this building on
fire.

Not really though...

And this was the "not office appropriate" costume. I'm a witch. Or as Lauren said, "a cracked out ballerina" I could see how you could make that mistake when I don't have my hat on. Anyway, Sarah is an 80's girl and Lacey is Guenviere. Excellent party...still don't know how I got the burn on my arm. But then again, there are so many things from that night that I don't remember. Posted by Hello

So this is my custume for the office halloween party. I didn't win, but at least I was office appropriate... Posted by Hello

You are a MONKEY!
You rock my sox! You wear your emotions on your
sleeve, and is LOUD LOUD LOUD!

Monkey? Pizza? Death? Oompa Loompa?

Now onto other things...

I actually voted yesterday. We won't go into the specifics as to why i shouldn't have voted (not that i didn't want to, but that i shouldn't) but I just wanted everyone to know that I did my duty as an American and drove my ass an hour from cherry hill to medford to vote at shawnee. and then drove back to marlton.

Work has gotten CRAZIFIED! The phone has been ringing off the hook today. I am covered in insurance paperwork and a little bit of brokerage paperwork. But thats all good news. We're busy...business is good. and they give me candy. Mmmmm reese's.

Know what I am in dire need of??? A day of shoe shopping. Oh, I am also in dire need of someone else paying for said shoes.

I think I need to go back to work now. Next time I post, I shall have pictures of Halloween costumes and fun things like that.

Now back to the paperwork...

LOAD!!!

I figured I would post while I sit here and wait for software to load. This is perhaps the slowest program to ever run on a network. Oh and they improved it. I just have one thing to say about that... Illustrate This!

Anyway...

I cleaned all of saturday. I'm talking 9am to 6pm. Now everything is all sparkly clean. Carpets have been vacuumed, counters scrubed, bills filed, clothes are folded, others are on hangers. One small problem. My closet isn't big enough. Or really even close to big enough. Some clothes have migrated to the coat closet. Thats weird. I need a giant walk in closet. Solution...buy a house (or townhouse).

So last night, I was talking to my father and he's all like, hey, you should buy a living place...because for the amount of rent I'm paying, I could have a mortgage.

Problem #1...need down payment.
Perhaps I should have thought about the whole buying thing about a year ago...ya know, before I spent all my money. Oh wait, I did...didnt want to buy anything then.

Problem #2...The place that I drove by that looks nice...$360K...for a townhouse. I feel like I could buy a whole house, with some property for that amount.

Problem #3...I can't move EVERY year, like I have been since 1998. I know, most people don't like to move and while I am not so fond of the actual moving day, its kind of fun to have a new place every year. I guess it would also be nice to not to have to put my life into boxes every 11 months...

I think it might be time to look for cheaper places or keep renting.

Sunday was also good. It started off with me wanting to go to the grocery store. I was out of cinnamon life and eggs, so I couldn't bake anymore cookies. So, off to the grocery store. Never again will I go to the Shoprite on 70 in Marlton. People there SUCK. So after about 40 mins in the store and getting only about 3 of the 17 items on my list, I decide its time to hit the express lane and get the hell out of there. So, I leave and go to the ACME in Medford. Not so much better...I didn't even get out of my car because there reaall wasn't any parking. What have I learned from this? Never go to the grocery store on Sunday afternoon.

YAY Eagles winning. Booo overtime and that really f-ing bad call that got the Browns the last touchdown. WTF???

Me and Lacey went to Pier 1 because we had a 40% off coupon (yay Lacey's mommie for know people!!!). How cool is that? I got a wine rack (holds 15 bottles) and a whole crap load of other stuff. I saved $100. Sweet.

Yesterday was a random day. 90% of it was boring as hell...

It took me 40 mins to get to work (it normally takes 16) yes, I know, 16. Every day...it hardly ever changes, except for yesterday. Why did it take 40 mins, you ask? I got stuck behind a tractor. Huh? A tractor in rush hour? Yeah. I take 70 west to Old Cuthbert Road. Thats that road after D&Q and before 295N. Right after I pull off of 70, theres a tractor. He's going 15. Wait...where is he going??? There is no farm or farm type area anywhere around here...

Ok, so, I'll pass him. No! 1) Its a double line and I can't remember the rules around passing farm equipment. 2) He's not driving off to the side (there is no shoulder, but its not a narrow lane). 3) there is oncoming traffic.

After Old Cuthbert, I make a left onto Chapel Ave, which takes me directly to my office. Yeah, I think the tractor had the same idea I did...lets go to Cherry Hill. Looks like the max speed on this bad boy is 25mph, downhill.

Long story short, me (and now 14 other cars) are stuck behind this for 4 miles. When we finally cross over Kings highway, he goes into the shoulder. Hooray!!! Now I can fast and get to work only like 15 mins late. Oh right...speed limit is now 25. and I'm behind a school bus.

Wound up getting here about 20 mins late...but its ok, 3 of the 14 cars behind me were also going to my office.

Story Number 2.

I return to ACME last night to complete my grocery shopping. I collect the 14 other items on my list (and a few others) and I go to self check out. One of my items isn't recognized in the system (yay, I am on the cutting edge of baking) and the lady who works the self check out goes and looks up the price. As I'm standing there, waiting, someone comes over to my scanny place, puts his basket down and stands right next to me. like RIGHT next to me. First thought "um, you're a little close." Don't really wanna look at said person because its a little weird...take small step in opposite direction. He's still standing there. So, I decide now might be a good time to look at him. Yeah, its James. First thing he says "You were probably thinking 'you're standing awfully close'" Yeah. Pretty much. He scared the hell out of me.

I worked on the largest spreadsheet I have ever seen yesterday. I mean, I know, there have to be bigger but the final cell on this thing was AF347. DUDE...almost every cell had a number (many of which had a 15 cell referenced formula, i hate bolean logic). The best part...it was all about tax. Namely, estate tax. It gives me a headache just thinking about it now.

Ohhhhh hooray!!! The program is finally done loading. If you actually read this far down, I am impressed. Peace out.

Back to School

Hi.

Somehow, yesterday, I found myself enrolled back at college...

Anyone else, aside from me, confused yet?

Over the past several months here, I have been debating the time frame for when to get my securities license (luckily, I already have my insurance license). I am deathly afraid of this test (series 7) for really no good reason. So, I have been side stepping it for the better part of the year.

Yesterday I was informed that I am to obtain the Series 7 or a giant pile of prefessional designations. Still confused? I'll try to explain...

I work in the Financial Services industry (for those of you who don't know exactly what I do...) primarily in the Insurance side (because I haven't taken the Series 7). We do estate planning for the $5M+ net worth market. Within this planning, we utilize Insurance, Investments and Legal Documents to expand the wealth of Individuals at their death (and in many instances, during their lifetime). Clients with A LOT of money like to know that the person handling said money is qualified. Hence the professional designations.

Ok, you with me? Good.

So, yesterday, I took it upon myself to get my ass in gear and I enrolled at The American College to pursue my ChFC. That stands for Chartered Financial Consultant. From what I understand, this is THE place to get these designations. I feel special that they will take all of my money.

The ChFC consists of about 8 classes. Taken about 1 or 2 at a time. The first of which is "Insurance and Financial Planning" Sounds so thrilling, doesn't it? Well thats what I am enrolled in now. My final exam is to be taken in December. I don't have my books yet. November is going to be a thrilling month primarily consisting of me reading a very large book, some of the reading will be done in Bryn Mawr, where the college is located.

When I finally complete my ChFC, I will then take classes for the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter). Then after that, CFP(r) (they get pissed when you leave off the r). That stands for Certified Financial Planner.

I'm thinking I will finish all of these by the end of next year. Sometime in between there, I have to take the Series 7. Feel free to start a betting pool as to when I will actually take it.

There is a point to this story...

By the end of 2005, I'll mail everyone my business card.

It shall read:

Kristen Cole CLU, ChFC, CFP(r) <----this will actually be a R in a circle.
Registered Representative
LFA.

So many Initials. I feel special (or rather, I will in a year). and no, I still won't be able to get you eagles tickets.

Then all of you can give me all your money to play with. YAY! Isn't that scary? (By the way, if you have insurance needs PRIOR to the end of next year, call me...I'm already allowed to do that.)

Onto the next thoughts...

The leaves are finally turning colors. For a few weeks there, when the leaves were just dead and falling off the trees, I really thought we weren't going to have a pretty fall. HOORAY!!! the leaves are pretty.

Last night was Fajita thursday with a Survivor chaser. I have a few comments to make here.

1. Chris makes an excellent fajita.

2. Why do all the women on this season have giant boobs? (unlike past seasons with people like Sue, the rather unattractive canadian and Lillian, the old boy scout troop leader) Even the old ladies on this show seem to be more attractive...and then there's the guys...hotness is not exuding from their pores. So sad.

3. Ender slept on me. Sooooooo cute. I'm laying on the loveseat, he takes a running start from the other side of the room, jumps on my stomach and curls up. He stared at Lacey for a little while and finally fell asleep. The dog snores. I don't know why find that sooo funny. Soon he is not going to be a lap dog (i think that is debatable at this point as well) His head was on my shoulder, his bum was mid thigh. He kept me warm. It was wonderful.

4. Does anyone want to get me a miniature pot bellied pig (preferably black and white)?
Yeah, didn't think so.

Halloween...

When did halloween become so anti-climactic? I feel like I need to have kids in so that there will be a purpose for me dressing up and having candy. Ohhh the days in college of crazy parties and dressing up as a prostitute and going to wawa and having the easton police be standing there and looking at you funny and then your friend comes in behind you, dressed up like a cow or something and then they realize that you aren't actually a whore, you're just dressed up for a halloween party that isn't actually on halloween. Oh how I miss those days. Someone do something (ie, joe, make a decision)!!!

Why is it so freaking cold in the office??? I actually went to my car to day and found more clothes. Perhaps I am a freak.

And speaking of going to my car today, I went out there, and the woman in the car next to mine was like rockin out to gospel. Windows down (its like 50 degrees out) stereo way up and she is like banging on the steering wheel. I'm just standing there like where is my sweater?

So thats about all from here.

Go Eagles!

Sleep? No, no more sleep.

I have spent the last 4 days in bed. I know...sounds like a fun time...relaxing, sleeping, tv. No. I had the stomach flu complete with fever for 4 days.

It all started on towards the end of my drive home from a lovely weekend in VA on sunday night. Got home late, about midnight. Wound up staying at my parents because I had to pick up my mother at about 6:45am to go to Lenape to go see the Cheneys. Started to get a little dizzy when i got to their house, just thought I was tired.

It all really hit me Monday morning while I was between secret service checkpoints at Lenape. I'm standing there in line with my mother (she's the reason I was there, I'm not a big fan of rallies, but how many times do you get to meet the vice president? For me, this would be #3.) and we make it into the main gym. Someone checks and makes sure that I am the person the FBI ran a security check on over the weekend (i was) and then we go and stand outside on the sidewalk that goes into the other gym. Yeah, its 7:20am. Its October. Its NJ. FREAKING COLD PEOPLE!!! I'm in a suit. again.

As we're standing there, looking at the secret service people on the roof I suddenly feel like I am going to pass out. I turned bright white (i know, not much of a change from normal) and thought I was going to die. About 25 mins later, I can finally get into the other gym, get patted down, pass through the metal detector and run to the bathroom, where i promptly throw up (yes, you wanted the fun details). I hate the stomach flu.

Finally back out to the gym. Hey look...its Jason Hicks. Yes...looking in other direction...

Hey there goes me about to pass out. YAY mommie catches me. Time to go sit down on the floor of a HS gym, in a suit. Best idea ever. Stand up again. Go back to the mother and people from work, woooo passing out again. Back to the floor.

Rally finally ends. Go home, go to sleep. Don't leave apartment again (except to go to the doctor, so he can tell me that not only do I not have strep but I have some sort of virus thing and I should be better by saturday) until, FRIDAY!

I figure I have slept about 60 hours in the past 4 days. I think I slept 60 hours last month, total. I didn't think it was possible for me to sleep that much and yet, I am still totally exhausted.

Oh and daytime TV sucks.

I really thought I was more evil...

I am 30% evil.

I try to stay away from evil deeds but succumb to temptation every once in a while. I'm not quite on my way to hell but I certainly have some explaining to do.

Are you evil? find out at Hilowitz.com

Martini-rific

So there hasn't been much new stuff happening as of late. The usual...work, food, phone, sleep. Which is nice. But nothing to really write an entire post on. So here is my summary for the week...

Anyway, this week has been fun. Tuesday night, I baked 8 dozen snickerdoodles and 2 dozen cupcakes, brought them into the office and they were gone before 4. How did the 15-20 people (a lot of people out of the office this week) manage to eat 96 cookies and 24 cupcakes in 6 hours? And how does this office manage to have doughnuts and cake and cookies arrive in the office just as I am thinking "mmmmm cookie"? I have change my theory on why the adminstration here is fattening us up (see prior post)...So they can feed us to the compliance officers when its audit time...Just a thought...

Chris and Lacey got the pupperoni cleaned this week. Now he smells like coconut rum. How fabulous is that? Best idea ever. A+ Petsmart. This is a smart puppy. He came with tricks...already knew how to sit! Now knows how to give his paw and go in his crate when you say so. Next trick to be learned...Eat People to be followed by Lay Down.

So while the puppy was getting cleaned, me and them went to Don Pablo's for cheap fajita night. Best idea ever!!! If you like fajitas...
Mmmm Don Pablo's. And Justin is right, should look into purchasing stock...

Last night I went to a restaurant called Olive. They were opening their new Martini Lounge, Pimento, last night and somehow, I got on the VIP list. ROCK ON! And you might ask, What did this get me? Well, early entrance to the club, open bar for a few hours, free yummies (best crab cake!) and raffle tickets (from which I won a $50 bottle of wine). The place has a wonderful ambiance, I would recommend you go. The only thing is, I was there for about 2.5 hours and 8 (I think, I lost count) martinis later and I wasn't falling down the stairs. I'm thinking they were watering down the vodka. Mind you, had they not been watered down, I wouldn't have had as many as I did. Its probably better that they did though...The cosmo, red dragon, purple haze and appletini were all quite good. See...a lot of drinkie.

Needless to say, I didn't watch the debate.

Moving along.

Onto today...I have been surprisingly productive today. So much got done. I'm blaming it on the doughnuts in the kitchen...Papers are processed, clients have been called and money has been invested properly. Whew...

Tonight = Phillies game with like the best seats ever (aside from the corporate box, yay food). If you happen to be tuning in, you'll probably see me on TV. Section 112, Row 1, Seats 1-4. Know where the tarp is? Yeah, I'll be sitting right behind that. I love company perks. And before you ask, no, I probably can't get you eagles tickets (unless you really suck up...).

Ok, back to being uber-productive!

Its very exciting. I got my bedroom furniture today. This is the furniture that has been on back order since the middle of June. Now I actually have a place to put all the clothes that have been stacked in neat little folded piles...on the floor. I went home during lunch today to take a look at it and maybe even put something away. No. They left little pieces of styrofoam, plastic baggies and cardboard all over my room. Grrrr. What the hell happened to customer service and not leaving crap everywhere?

So this morning I spent about 4 hours doing fund allocation on Morningstar. While they have made inprovements, that program is a giant pain in the ass. But it spits out pretty pie charts and graphs and happy things that most clients can't figure out. It makes me look smarter because I know what it says.

The office has been trying to fatten all of us up. we have cake and cookies and caramel apples like every day. The lunch cart guy comes by and his sandwiches keep getting bigger. I feel like they are feeding us so some day they can sell us for our weight.

Me and Lacey were home alone with the pupperoni last night (yes, I renamed him). Yeah, he went totall DD on me (for those of you who don't know the acronym, it means demon dog). So angry and then he went to sleep. He likes to watch us play video games. Weird.

That is te summary of my life for this week. Peace out...I'm going home.

I have a blog?

Apparently, I now have a blog. There's one real reason why I signed up...

So I can post on other people's blogs. I like commenting and some of you people aren't all about the anonymous ones. Boo you.

Perhaps if something thrilling happens, I will post again...
